Sophos Anti-Virus receives West Coast Checkmark for 100% detection of in-the-wild viruses yet again

Sophos announced today that its flagship product, Sophos Anti-Virus, has yet again achieved West Coast Labs Checkmark certification.
Sophos Anti-Virus version 3.51 for Windows 95/98, Sophos Anti-Virus version 3.51 for NetWare and Sophos Anti-Virus version 3.51 for Windows NT Server have again successfully been awarded Anti-Virus Checkmark level 1, providing further independent verification that Sophos is capable of protecting against all known 'in-the-wild' viruses in both on-demand and on-access modes.
The Checkmark system has been developed by West Coast Labs, an independent research and test centre. It provides a reliable means of authenticating those products which users can consistently rely upon to provide the highest quality anti-virus solutions.
"The results of this independent testing yet again underlines the high quality of the anti-virus solutions provided by Sophos," said Graham Cluley, senior technology consultant. "Businesses can rest assured that Sophos Anti-Virus continues to provide the highest quality virus detection technology, combined with world-beating technical support and service."
