Sophos gains security supremo from NAI's loss

Graham Cluley is latest to leave in post take-over blues at Dr Solomon's

Anti-virus expert Graham Cluley is joining Sophos to take up the post of senior technology consultant. Cluley left his position as security guru at Network Associates (NAI) to join Sophos because of its superior customer service and research team. He was previously at Dr Solomon's which was taken over by NAI in August, 1998.

As an international security specialist with almost ten years' experience in the anti-virus industry, Cluley will bring his knowledge of the security market to Sophos's industry-renowned research team. He will also give presentations on security issues and advise on both technical and marketing matters.

"The dramatic reduction in support and service levels since NAI acquired Dr Solomon's, shows how customers bear the brunt of takeover upheavals," said Graham Cluley. "I decided to join Sophos not only because of its superb product line, but because the service doesn't stop once a sale has been made. In my opinion, Sophos is the only anti-virus vendor to offer outstanding customer support."

"I'll be using my experience of product and marketing from NAI and Dr Solomon's to increase awareness of the already successful Sophos brand. With the heightened interest in IT security due to viruses such as Melissa and CIH, I expect to be very busy," he continued.
