Sophos appoints Rachel Lane as Head of Human Resources

Sophos, a world leader in corporate anti-virus protection, today announced the appointment of Rachel Lane to the position of Head of Human Resources, reporting to the board. Lane, most recently heading up the personnel team at Foster Wheeler Energy, brings with her more than 10 years experience in human resources.

As the Head of Human Resources, Rachel will actively reinforce the company's mission to attract and retain the most talented employees in its offices around the world. Her responsibilities include aligning company-wide human resource programs with overall corporate business objectives and strategies. She will oversee the company's worldwide recruitment, employee relations, compensation and benefits, employee development and management development activities.

Rachel Lane's appointment follows recently announced plans by Sophos to build an additional high-security research and development centre, totalling over 150,000 square feet alongside its existing headquarters in Abingdon, UK.
