Software delivery changes
We are changing the way that we distribute software as a result of expanding our product range to include more gateway products. In August 2004, we will send out two CDs instead of one, as explained below:
| Sophos Anti-Virus | Gateway products | |
|---|---|---|
| Who's it for? | Customers using this software: | Customers using this software: |
| What's on it? |
|
|
| When will I get it? | The week of 2 August 2004 | The week of 9 August 2004 |
| When will I get it again? | Monthly - although you can use EM Library to update automatically instead. | Whenever these products are upgraded (expected to be every three months or so) |
If you have PureMessage for Windows/Exchange or any of our MailMonitor products, then you will shortly receive a letter explaining the change.
Staying up to date
You can always download the most up-to-date version of all our software from the main Sophos website.
In addition, EM Library, part of the Enterprise Manager suite of management tools, provides an automated way of updating Sophos Anti-Virus on a wide range of platforms. Customers using EM Library obtain monthly updates to Sophos Anti-Virus in advance of receiving a CD, and their networks are also kept automatically up to date with the latest virus identity (IDE) files.
MailMonitor for Exchange customers: Although PureMessage for Windows/Exchange is our latest product for customers using Windows SMTP servers and Exchange, MailMonitor for Exchange is still fully supported by Sophos, and it can still be downloaded by existing customers if required.
Small business and PureMesssage for Unix customers: If you have any of these products, then you are not affected by these changes.
