Sophos, a world leader in protecting businesses against viruses and spam, today announced that Graham Cluley, senior technology consultant for Sophos, will be giving the keynote address at the Information Systems Security Association's (ISSA) Annual Security Conference for the UK Chapter on 15 September 2004.
Cluley will be presenting a paper on the impact viruses and spam are having on businesses around the world, and the growing convergence between virus writers and spammers.
Vanja Svajcer, principal virus researcher at Sophos, will be leading a session which will demonstrate live computer viruses to delegates.
The annual conference is designed to educate ISSA's members about a range of security issues. This year, the event will be hosted at Sophos's £32m global headquarters, a fitting venue as Sophos is the ISSA UK Chapter's Gold sponsor for 2004.
The conference is an invitation-only event tailored to address the current and future malware challenges for IT security professionals, and also to present useful tips for strategic and best practice procedures.
There will be experts from throughout the IT industry speaking at the event about a range of issues including, viruses, computer crime investigation and the state of the profession. There will also be three unique workshops featured within the program, providing delegates with the opportunity to experience at first hand computer viruses, understand who spammers are and learn how to protect themselves against fraudulent activity.
