Sophos, a world leader in protecting businesses against spam and viruses, has appointed Nimmity Zappert to the position of Channel Marketing Manager. Based at Sophos's UK headquarters in Abingdon, Zappert joins Sophos HQ with a wealth of experience of developing and driving channel initiatives. Prior to this appointment, Zappert was channel sales manager at the Australian Sophos office where she was responsible for growing the local reseller base from 40 to 240 partners. Before joining Sophos in 2000, Zappert was developing channel initiatives for Cable & Wireless Optus.
As channel marketing manager, Zappert will be responsible for increasing the support structure for the Sophos Partner Program, Sophos's initiative to reward resellers which are committed to promoting the company and its products. In her new position Zappert will be tasked with driving the global elements of the Partner Program, ensuring consistency across all regions while looking at how Sophos can find new and exciting ways to market its anti-virus and anti-spam solutions in collaboration with local channel partners.
"As Sophos continues to grow, we wanted to put in place some experienced and knowledgeable candidates to ensure our approach remains fresh and consistent throughout all our subsidiaries across the world," said Jan Hruska, CEO and co-founder for Sophos. "Sophos's commitment to the channel means that Zappert's new role is central to the success of our business. Her impressive track record in Australia means we are confident she will add value to the service we already offer our resellers and partners around the world."
"I am delighted to be working with the Sophos global team," said Zappert. "My experience with working with a Sophos subsidiary will be invaluable in helping me drive the Partner Program on an international level."
