Miami-Dade County Public Schools selects Sophos Sophos continues to displace McAfee as the fourth largest school district in the US makes the switch
Miami-Dade Public Schools has switched from McAfee to Sophos.Sophos, a world leader in IT security and control, today announced that Miami-Dade Public Schools has selected Sophos to protect 90,000 desktops and 50,000 email accounts from spam, viruses, worms, spyware and potentially unwanted applications for the next four years. The district will also utilize Sophos Professional Services to ensure that the switch from its legacy McAfee solution to Sophos is accomplished seamlessly.
After more than a year of evaluating numerous security solutions, Sophos was selected as the best choice for the district based on breadth of coverage; speed of detection; better computer performance; the size, speed and frequency of updates; a simplified console; superior detection technology; and the quality of Sophos's technical support.
