Microsoft director joins Sophos to head up sales and marketing in the UK

Andrew Bradshaw
Andrew Bradshaw has joined Sophos from Microsoft.

Sophos, a world leader in IT security and control, has appointed Andrew Bradshaw as vice president of UK sales and marketing. Based at the company's UK headquarters in Oxford, Andrew will lead the UK business in growing Sophos's security and control market.

Bradshaw joins Sophos from Microsoft, where he excelled in a number of sales leadership roles, most recently as mid-market and partner director. In this role, Bradshaw was responsible for revenue growth across 5,000 customers and 1,000 key partners, and was able to put in place a shared service sales model across a team of 150, and significantly increase revenues.

Prior to working at Microsoft, Bradshaw spent five years at Hewlett Packard in a variety of sales positions, the last of which was solutions sales manager in the financial services sector.

"Sophos is part of an elite group of successful, software companies enjoying very strong sustained growth - the product offering is broad and of high calibre, customer service is first rate, and Sophos's channel is already established and knowledgeable," said Andrew Bradshaw. "Heading up UK sales and marketing activities is a great opportunity, and I look forward to working with Sophos's partners and scaling Sophos's operation to its full potential. Watch this space."

"Andrew's appointment is pivotal to Sophos's continued success in the UK market. Backed by a solid management and sales background in the IT sector, Andrew's drive and energy make him an ideal candidate to lead Sophos sales and marketing teams," said Annie Gay, EMEA vice president at Sophos. "With Sophos delivering even more security and control to business, through offerings like NAC and application control, there will be many opportunities to grow market share."
