Sophos named as Finalist in 2007 Australian Reseller News IT Awards

Sophos was named a finalist in the ARN IT Industry Awards.
Sophos was last night named as a Finalist in the inaugural Australian Reseller News (ARN) IT Industry Awards 2007. The Awards recognise the commitment made by vendors to the Australian IT channel and for the value they provide to resellers.
Sophos was one of five vendors to be named as a finalist in the elite 'Software Vendor of the Year' category and was the only dedicated security vendor shortlisted. More than 450 channel leaders attended the Awards Ceremony in Sydney.
A panel of professionals comprising channel media as well as channel and vendor industry representatives judged the Awards, which assessed Sophos's Australian Partner Program and security solutions.
"This is a great accolade for Sophos and a reflection of the close relationships we enjoy with our partners in Australia," said Rob Forsyth, Sophos's Asia Pacific Managing Director. "The key to our success lies with our partners. Our local Partner Program is paying dividends by providing flexible options that reward our resellers for their commitment to developing and certifying their sales and technical skills across Sophos's solution offerings."
Forsyth said Sophos's channel team in Australia had developed trusted relationships with its partners.
"Our channel sales team, led by Zoe Nicholson, has established strong, trusted and successful partnerships with our resellers. This recognition will further encourage our channel team to form even closer ties with our partners, with the aim of generating greater revenue and margin opportunities for them in the Australian market."
One of Sophos's Partners, EvolveIT, was named as the winner of the SMB Reseller of the Year category.
All proceeds from the evening went to Clean Up Australia, in recognition of its commitment to environmental responsibility and for its ongoing engagement within Australia's IT sector.
